I am working on a project of building a small two-wheel robot, like a Segway, but with echo sensors instead of accelleration sensors.
My inspiration came from the following article: https://www.instructables.com/SparkFun-Inventor-Balancing-Robot-BRobot/ but I am not copying that design. For one, my design has two echo sensors, one on the front and one on the back.
It starts to work but I still have some challenges regarding stability and the feedback mechanism. The article speaks about PID control and I read about that but wonder if this is actually relevant here considering the large noise level in the sensor data.
Anyway, I would be interested to share ideas with anyone who is or has been working on a similar project.
